Privacy Policy and Legal Information

1 General / Introduction

This privacy policy informs users about the type, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the responsible provider on this website.

Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and in particular the data protection provisions of the Swiss Confederation (Data Protection Act, DSG), every person is entitled to protection of their privacy and protection against misuse of their personal data. The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

In cooperation with our hosting providers, we take technical and organizational measures to protect the databases as well as possible against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or falsification.

2 Personal data

2.1 What personal data is

According to Art. 5 of the Federal Act on Data Protection, which has been in force since September 2023, personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
In addition, Art. 5 para. c lists particularly sensitive personal data, namely data relating to religious, philosophical, political or trade union views or activities, data concerning health, privacy or racial or ethnic origin, genetic and biometric data, data concerning social assistance measures or administrative and criminal prosecutions or sanctions.

2.2 What personal data we collect and why we collect it

In this privacy policy, we describe the types of personal data we collect, why we record this data and how we use it in connection with the services on our website. In doing so, we strictly adhere to the applicable data protection laws. Personal data includes any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural or legal person. The Swiss Data Protection Act distinguishes between general personal data and particularly sensitive personal data.

  • Ensuring a smooth connection to the website
  • Ensuring the smooth use of our website
  • Statistical information on visits to the website, with the aim of ensuring the best possible relevance of the information
  • Evaluation of system security and stability
  • For further administrative purposes

2.2.2 Personal data processed for the provision of services

In principle, we do not store any particularly sensitive personal data in accordance with Article 5 paragraph c of the Data Protection Act.

The personal data that may be processed relates primarily to information that you provide to us either directly or indirectly.
Examples of situations in which we may collect your personal data are

  • When you contact us via the contact form or by email
  • When you use other services on the website, which we can only provide if we know your personal data.

The processing of personal data is necessary in order to fulfill our contractual obligations towards you, to represent our commercial interests if necessary, to react or respond directly to your contact appropriately and to comply with your request to send you our newsletter, which may be available for subscription.

a) Contact form

When using the contact form, we also regularly require at least the first name, surname, place of residence and e-mail address to process the request.
This personal data will not be passed on to third parties.

b) Newsletter

If you would like to receive a newsletter offered on the website, we require an e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.
After you have given your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and its use for sending the newsletter, you can revoke this at any time, for example via the "unsubscribe link" in the newsletter or by contacting us directly.
The email address provided to us will not be passed on to third parties

2.3 How long personal data is stored

Messages sent via the contact form, by email or letter will be stored by us for one year, but at least until the matter dealt with in the message has been resolved. Otherwise, we comply with the statutory provisions regarding retention periods; in particular, we are required by law to retain medical records for 10 years.

2.4 Rights of data subjects

In accordance with Art. 25 of the Swiss Data Protection Act, any person may request information from the person responsible for the website as to whether personal data relating to them is being processed. The data subject receives the information required to assert their rights under this law and to ensure transparent data processing.
Data subjects can have the processing of their personal data restricted and have their personal data corrected, deleted, blocked or completed. Furthermore, consent given can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future and an objection to the processing of personal data can be raised at any time.

There may be certain exceptions to this right:
In particular, in order to fulfill a contract, to protect our own legitimate interests such as the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims, or to comply with legal obligations, your data may need to be processed and stored despite your objection. To the extent permitted by law, data protection-related requests such as data erasure may therefore also be rejected or only complied with to a limited extent.
